Frequently asked questions

The list doesn’t open when I hover the notch. Check the Display item in the ☑︎ menu — the list may live on another monitor. On a Mac without a notch, hover the small dark pill at the top centre of the screen.

The hotkey doesn’t work. Make sure the hotkey is enabled in the ☑︎ menu and open Configure hotkey…. An orange warning there means another app owns that shortcut — record a different one, for example ⌃⌥T.

I don’t get reminders. Open ☑︎ → Due date notifications… and allow notifications in System Settings. Also check that Focus / Do Not Disturb is off.

Where are my tasks stored? Only on your Mac, in the app’s own folder inside your user Library. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Dutyy does not collect personal data.
The app does not use analytics, ads, or tracking.
The app does not connect to the internet and contains no third‑party SDKs.
Your tasks and settings are stored locally on your Mac only.
If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your Mac and never leave your device.
Deleting the app (or its data folder in your user Library) removes all data.
